I was very disappointed at first. The subwoofer didn't even produce enough bass to match my wife's 2019 Blazer factory settings, let alone improve on the bass. To be on the safe side, I even turned the subwoofer to full volume for a moment, but it just wasn't there. I kept playing with phase, volume and some light EQ adjustments and eventually it came to life (amp volume set to 6/10). This thing is actually pretty amazing for its size. Very penetrating, within reason. The biggest limitation is the ability to play notes under 50k, but you can't expect that from something this compact. If you want to keep the factory settings and make it more comfortable, it's worth the money. You'll have to be patient, but you'll be impressed. If you're just going to take it out of the box and expect it to work its magic without thoughtful tweaking, you'll likely be disappointed. I ended up buying a second one to even out the sound as I could feel the bass going to one side. This truck sounds so good considering it doesn't have any visible amplifiers or subwoofers to distract from using the vehicle. I'm so glad I took the risk and bought it. The woman is delighted with the results.
