I want my money back! Disgusting product and poor quality.

Gentlemen, I bought this subwoofer and, unfortunately, I was able to install it a year later, after the warranty had expired due to the lack of completeness of the car (dismantled, painted). After installing it in tandem with cde195bt, he played for 2 days (he got burned out), turned everything to the maximum due to inexperience. I had money, I ordered another one, then after reading and seeing enough of what I could, I set up a crossover on the radio, and everything seemed great. But a year…

The purchase brought only positive emotions.

This is not really a subwoofer, it is a low midbass that performs 100% of the functions of a low midbass. This means that lpf is not cut on it (set lpf to 140-150Hz), only then it opens up to 100%. Well complements any regular acoustics and is suitable for any instrumental, dance music. The sub is not for blacks, definitely, but from the point of view of versatility and quality - 5 stars. I recommend it to those who want to save space in the trunk.

Pros
  • Compact size, easy to install under the seat, play without delay. Fast, high quality!
Cons
  • Not suitable for dubstep and rap music where serious pressure is required.

Installed in a '95 Nissan King Cab Truck - GREAT INTERIOR FOR THE SIZE!

I was looking for something to supplement the bass sound in my '95 Nissan Hardbody but given the size of the cab I didn't have many options. I took a closer look at the Pioneer TS-WX130DA and the Kenwood KSC-SW11 but found that both run at around 75W RMS (around 150W MAX). This Alpine is only $70 more expensive but runs at 120W RMS (240W MAX). Those numbers don't lie, this thing HANGS. It has a pretty harsh rolloff around 40Hz, but from there down to 180-200Hz this little box makes a serious…

Expected Quality Alpine

I've worked in an electronics store selling and installing car audio systems for over 20 years and only recently decided to upgrade my 2017 4runner so it's been a long time. Since I don't have time to go to regular stores and audition, I chose a reliable brand that I always turn to. I can't compare myself to other brands but I can say that this Alpine device exceeded all my expectations. This unit delivers really tight and clean bass and has just enough heartbeat for my in-car enjoyment. As…

Alpine PWE-S8 is good for subwoofers

I've been using it for about two weeks now so can't comment on its durability yet (but it seems very reliable). I'll start by saying if your goal is for people to hear you two blocks away then this sub is not for you. It gets loud enough for you to really jam out when your favorite song is playing, but not too loud. If you're looking for something that just fills the underside of your car while taking up very little space, this is perfect. I set the filter to 100Hz with a slope of -12dB and it…

Brilliant! .but may not be as simple as plug and play.

I was very disappointed at first. The subwoofer didn't even produce enough bass to match my wife's 2019 Blazer factory settings, let alone improve on the bass. To be on the safe side, I even turned the subwoofer to full volume for a moment, but it just wasn't there. I kept playing with phase, volume and some light EQ adjustments and eventually it came to life (amp volume set to 6/10). This thing is actually pretty amazing for its size. Very penetrating, within reason. The biggest limitation is…

Nice addition to my stock JBL Tundra system.

I have a 13 Tundra Crewmax and wanted to add some bass to the stock system. The truck came with a factory subwoofer behind the seat that doesn't produce much bass at all. While there's plenty of room in the Crewmax's cockpit, there's not much usable space for a submarine. This unit fits perfectly into the back wall between the jack slot and the existing factory subwoofer without restricting the range of the back seat at all. I plugged in the factory subwoofer horn but left it plugged in…

Perfect subwoofer solution for Jeep TJ-Fits under the back seat

My 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara had a Sony MEX-BT3800U head unit installed by the previous owner. It had a dedicated dual subwoofer in the back, but I removed that and left the wiring behind when I bought it in 2012. Recently TJ became my daily driver so I decided to upgrade the sound system. Having a convertible option on a Jeep, I decided a Marine Grade was required. All 4 factory speakers are easily replaceable without major surgical intervention. I bought a Polk dB461 for the front and a dB651
