I've been using it for about two weeks now so can't comment on its durability yet (but it seems very reliable). I'll start by saying if your goal is for people to hear you two blocks away then this sub is not for you. It gets loud enough for you to really jam out when your favorite song is playing, but not too loud. If you're looking for something that just fills the underside of your car while taking up very little space, this is perfect. I set the filter to 100Hz with a slope of -12dB and it sounds great. I can say that it struggles a little with very low tones around 35Hz and below, but that's typical of most 8" subwoofers. Overall, I am very satisfied with the sound quality of this device. It comes with a wire harness that connects to the built in amplifier where you connect power, ground, remote control etc. It's worth noting that the wiring for power and ground is fairly small, probably 10 or 12 gauge if I had to guess. I used an 8 gauge from the battery to the amp and had to buy a wire splice to connect it to the wire harness. It doesn't matter, but I thought I'd just mention it. I'll update this if I run into any issues with it.
