I needed R1234yf adapters to work with my wife's 2017 Civic. They worked great with my set of AC meters. I think some people had issues because of the way they are tagged. "Open" means that the valve is actually closed. You must turn it counter-clockwise to the "open" position to attach the valve to your vehicle's AC connections. Then, once attached to the AC distribution manifold pressure gauge, turn them clockwise to the "closed" position so that the pin in the adapter pushes the valve down so you can read the pressure on the pressure gauge. The labeling is confusing, but once you see how it works, it becomes clear.
