After my husband tripped over the tub, fell and broke his ankle, I examined the tub rails and bought these. It has given my husband the ability to get in and out of the tub with support and confidence! Even if the item loosens (which rarely happens), it still holds onto the tub and can be easily tightened. I like the design of this bar as the screw mechanism is on top and not protruding from the sides. It's also easy to remove when you clean the tub. Before this item arrived I had to help my husband out of the bath which was scary for both of us as we are seniors. We figured we would have to remove our bathtub and replace it with a walk-in shower, which would require a major overhaul and expense. These railings are definitely strong and we no longer have to think about replacing the tub or adding additional railings. I love to swim and every time I grab the railing to get in the tub I feel like I'm getting in the pool!
