Review on Experience Home Theater Like Never Before With ZVOX SoundBase 770 Sound Bar by Chad Dahl

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Dialogue is fantastic, extremely clear and an "accuvoice " setting accentuates it .

Very impressed with the 770. I'd very recently purchased the 670 for a smaller TV and was extremely impressed with it.Although the 670 is rated to also support TVs up to 70", for my next purchase to be placed under a TV of that size, I figured to try out the larger 770.While I'm no audiophile, I'm extremely impressed with both my ZVOX's. Dialogue is fantastic, extremely clear and an "accuvoice" setting accentuates it even more for those who may deem it necessary. While there is a surround effect, make no mistake it does not nor could it ever be as submersive as true surround. But for what it is, it's an impressive facsimile. There's only a few choices as per sound adjustment, accuvoice, sd1, sd2 and sd3 along with an Output Leveling option that I happen to prefer to keep off. I haven't found an issue with suitability. Different channels offer different sound through my DirecTV, one selection may work great for one channel or movie or sporting event but then I'll find another to work best on another channel perhaps. But generally, I find the default sd2 to work best.Although I'd give the nod to the 770 being slightly better than the 670, I wouldn't necessarily recommend that someone purchase the 770 if the 670 would suffice with regard to TV size.My 670 is in a very large living room, open concept with vaulted ceiling yet it still performs extremely well. Although the 770 is in a 1,000 square foot open concept basement (for a 2nd set, I also have surround for the projector), the ceiling is maybe 9'. In similar settings, I could not be sure at all that one ZVOX may noticeably out perform the other.Great product, very happy with them.
