I needed something metallic to attach to my portable air tank to inflate tires on garden equipment such as wheelbarrows, tractors and vans. I didn't want accuracy, I wanted consistency in readings, and that works for me. I never inflate these tires to a high pressure so I'm just trying not to over inflate them and this tire is way better than the plastic tire that fell apart. A small pocket clip keeps it on the tank handle, which is a plus. We have several acres and lugging everything from the apartment to the garage to use the compressor was a real pain so the small tank was a good buy but not worth the expensive air canister with built in gauge.
