I tried to take a photo but it is the same color as the photo. The true color is a muted purple. The same purple family, just muted, not bright. I don't mind, so it doesn't matter too much to me. These are longer shorts. I am 5" by 7" and they are an inch above my knee, I have long legs and a short torso. I don't like the back. They're perfect all over the bottom, but there's so much extra fabric under the buttocks. You had hips that were too big, I see that as a plus. They are very comfortable and the pockets are well made. Does the waist belt seem too tight? I know some have complained about this. I ordered a size larger. down and my butt would be too tight.
