3.5 stars rounded. The helmet looks well built, with comfortable padding and a quick release chin strap. Also good is the built-in retractable sun visor, which was positioned correctly in front of my eyes when I tried it out (I suspect the complaints about the peak being too high were due to the user either not pulling it all the way down, or they were wearing a backwards-tilted helmet) . The only problem is the size. It looks like the manufacturer uses the same shell size (hard outer layer) and just puts in different thicknesses of padding to accommodate different head sizes. Unfortunately mine is small. and I can look at what some other reviewers have called "mushroom head". On a small head (helmet size S) it looks very silly and feels very heavy. I'm sure it's still as safe as any other DOT certified half helmet, but the oversized bucket not only looks silly, it traps air like you won't believe. The gap between the armor and my skull was nearly 2 inches all the way around (no open space, it was filled with padding). but throw your head back and it's like an umbrella catching the wind. If you have a larger head this helmet shouldn't have the same style flaw that I had.
