Review on πŸ‘™ Tuga Girls Thermal Wetsuit | UPF 50+ Sun Protection | Ages 1-14 Years by Pavel Craig

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Too wide for Olive Oyls

My 6 year old daughter is very skinny - 45 inches tall and about 34 pounds and needed a wetsuit to stay warm during swim lessons. I tried 2 sizes of this wetsuit for her. I originally ordered 7/8 based on people saying this wetsuit was 2 or 3 sizes too small because they knew it was thin but also that the length couldn't be too short or the crotch would hurt. Well, the 7/8 was ridiculously tall - 3 inches longer in the crotch and an inch wider in the legs and arms, and you could fit 2 of their bodies into the core of the suit. I then ordered 5 hoping that all sizes would shrink significantly. Length 5 was correct, but the arms, legs, and body were still a few inches too wide. I also tried the Tyr wetsuit and it was the same size as this one. I finally found one that fit her and it was a size 3 Oneill Reactor wetsuit. The Oneill Reactor wetsuit is much thinner than the Tuga and Tyr for those with skinny kids. However if you have a medium to heavy built daughter I think Tuga would be a good costume and it was beautiful.

Pros
  • Wetsuits
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
