It doesn't necessarily charge your phone fast, even with a fast charger. Even here in the Pacific Northwest, it overheats fairly easily. Also, it seems to randomly open and drop your phone. After this happened for the 7th time this afternoon during my 40 minute drive, I forcibly removed it from the dashboard. I still have one in my truck from another company that hasn't given me any problems for over a year. I just didn't want to pay the $10 difference but I think it was worth it. On a positive note the sticky pad here sucks and is very good for my leather dashboard (not real leather just a design).
