I've been looking for a simple glass and metal citrus press for a long time. There is nothing to hold or fix the part you are pressing on so it moves everywhere, there are all sorts of stains on the metal and a huge amount of nasty oil builds up. My husband and I are both chefs. He cleaned it up for me because he knew I enjoyed using it. He wiped the thing and thought it was clean. The glove and nail went in the hole and I saw black oil so I checked each hole and my gloves were covered in black machine oil. I dipped the metal top half in rubbing alcohol and rubbed down each hole. black, now all the black bits are in the alcohol and it keeps coming off. The thing was washed, unfortunately used and all my limes spent on this damn thing, soaked in alcohol, then cleaned and washed again. THERE'S BLACK OIL FROM THIS THING. THEY LOVED IT SO MUCH AND NOT ONLY THIS THING LOST MY TIME, IT LOST MY FOOD TOO. I refuse to use lime juice which has this food hazard.
