I bought this sharpening stone to deburr the inside of my V-grooves and it does a good job. Then I decided to try it on my knives, the edges of which were rounded after long machining. WOW what a shock. This stone quickly took on a round shape, leaving a finely polished edge. After 5 hits on each side of the green link, my knives are remarkably sharp. I feel that this improvement in sharpening is also due to the way I sharpened the knife. In one hand I held a knife, I set the rounded part of the stone down vertically, then the blade lifted it just a couple of degrees. Then I basically rubbed the stone front to back on the blade on each side maybe 10-12 times. The stone cut through the steel with little pressure, leaving an almost polished edge that was extremely sharp, further improving dressing. I can say if I delete this stone, I get another one.
