I bought this item to install a SHIMANO 6800 system on a new frame (replaced after a crash). This was my first time removing and installing a press-fit bottom bracket. I've watched a few YouTube videos to familiarize myself with the process and I was particularly concerned about the removal part as the bottom bracket needs to be knocked out with a hammer and I have a carbon fiber frame. This may not be necessary as this tool is excellent for removing the bottom bracket without using a hammer, but with the same "slide" approach as installing. It was such a breeze for the entire removal and installation. A small problem is that the user manual is very short and not very helpful. Luckily this wasn't a problem for me as I understood how PF BB worked so I could figure it out.
