Bought this to have first pair of earrings. This is the only type of earrings I can wear in my ear cartilage. A regular sized post is fine too. I also sometimes have to use starters in my other ear piercings when, despite the first 40 years, my body decides to give up the idea of a piercing. lol They are great and I bought 3 different types of them. No regret. I may even choose to use one of the kits to add new holes.
