Good alternative to aluminum when a stronger and more secure grip is required. Used in a boat to attach various things (connector for trolling motor, downrigger connectors and some other items on the plate) instead of using 1/4" screws which loosen over time. After several trips in fresh water they show no rust but time will tell.
