I first tried this on a mower that was coming from winter storage and it worked well. Then, just for fun, I decided to test it on a brand new race engine I have in my garage. It already had wet compression tests and I did the factory values from their test before they sent it to me. This tester shows very little difference from the previous test and is the same for all 12 cylinders. next. Even with single cylinder engines you need an acceptable pressure range. It doesn't need super expensive precision testers, but this one seems really accurate for such a low price. I would recommend it.
