This has been with me for a few weeks now. It's decent, does what it's supposed to. I checked 3 USB-A ports. They work fine. I tested the power supply connector. Sure, it charges your MacBook, but not as fast as a direct charger. Honestly, for the price, just buy it. One thing I was missing: if I have the power adapter plugged into the charger but the dongle isn't plugged into the Mac, it's safe to assume that that's where power is going to the hub when I use the USB-A ports Charge my devices like headphones or phones, they charge. Unfortunately not until the Mac is connected to a hub.
