I had compression shorts from different companies. The only thing I understood is that the size (small, medium, large, extra large), fit and cut vary from brand to brand. I've also found that some compression shorts (like Easton) are designed to be worn with a cup. If you are NOT wearing cups, the crotch area will be very loose and your "garbage" will flop. What bothered me the most was the size. I'm 5ft 6in, 160lbs, waist 31 to 32in. I'm MEDIUM for most brands, but the Neleus size chart recommends a size SMALL (waist 30-32). I ordered SMALL and it fits perfectly. His 9" inseam is about 1-2" above my knee. Compression is firm but not too firm. The fabric material is elastic and skin-friendly. I wear it under my sports shorts when I exercise. I also wear it under my wetsuit and trunks when I'm kayaking, kayaking or surfing. It's comfortable enough to be worn as casual underpants, but the lack of a fly means you'll have to pull your pants down to urinate. Neleus has two small pockets. Haven't used them yet, but they're only good for carrying paper money and driver's licenses. I'm not sure about the longevity of the Neleus yet. Given the low price I think if the Neleus lasts a year I'll get my money's worth. To prolong its life, I recommend washing the Neleus in cold water and drying it. Hot water and a hot dryer will destroy the synthetic materials used in Neleus. Overall I am very satisfied with my Neleus purchase. I would buy it again and would highly recommend it to others.
