Time will tell if they really are weatherproof and durable. I just received them yesterday. If you are careful when unwinding and avoid getting tangled, they are easy to install. The instructions were simple and clear. I have some concerns that where we have them there might not be enough sunlight for a good charge. (They are on a pergola and tree branches sometimes block direct light.) But I decided to take that risk. They lit up last night and were pretty bright for their design. As I selected my preferred mode, two people walking down the street shouted compliments at the stoplights. 1 MONTH LATER - even happier as they are still doing well. They light up every night and are still on when I go to bed around midnight. I could order more to walk along my fence. 8 MONTHS LATER - 1 of 2 lines just completed upon exit. The day before was fine. Not now. Sad, because I was very happy that they did well in the summer even in the semi-shade of tree leaves and also in the winter with shorter days. I'm thinking about buying a replacement or looking for something else.
