Very happy with this light (and it allows external power)
This works very well, and (although they don't say so on the site) it also is externally powered. It has a female for a semi-standard DC power plug and accepts many solar battery packs (I had one left around from some solar spotlights similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/MicroSolar-Separate-Spotlight-Automatically-Activates/dp/B00E5ECDHA/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1463953987&sr=8-6&keywords=solar+spotlights) (3x1.5v rechargeable battery)I removed the batteries from the umbrella light, and plugged in the solar charger/batter pack. Now, every day, when it gets dark, the umbrella light goes on and stays on all night.I am very happy with this light
