I never had to readjust the blade before using the clippers. We got this because it's similar to what we had before. When he tried on my husband's head, he didn't cut it off, just pulled his hair and got stuck in it. We ended up not even being able to use it because it literally just pulled and pulled without even cutting. And he doesn't have long hair, which is the typical length of hair grown for a guy who wears short hair. We'll have to unscrew and disassemble the clipper to adjust the blades so they (hopefully) actually cut. Such a product must be ready to use, we do not have to repair it and assemble it properly in order to use it. That's why it just looks badly made. I would go up next time and buy a more expensive one so I can use it when needed.
