Review on Unlocked 4G LTE Router with SIM Card Slot, KuWFi WiFi Router with External Antennas, Industrial Wireless CPE Internet Routers for Home/Office, Compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile by Zach Sornsin

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good price but strong signal drop

Good hardware, unstable firmware. The product is not certified by Verizon, so you must first initialize the SIM card with the Verizon Jetpack. It's ok if you already have a jetpack, just pop in your SIM card and away you go. I tried this device after using the MOFI4500-4GXELTE-SIM4_COMBO ($329 from Revain) hoping to find a cheaper solution for our field workers. You install a working SIM card, the device gets up and running without any additional programming. But the firmware is very basic (some of it is in Chinese, some of the menus didn't work at all). Good qualities: - Good price - Reliable hardware - Easy to install and operate - Good Wi-Fi signal Cons: - Minimal firmware configuration choices - Firmware is not fully translated into English - 4G signal dropped out quite often - Can certain non-blocking 4G LTE bands Bottom Line: If you only need access to check email, surf the web, or browse Facebook, this might be a good choice over satellite (Verizon currently offers 30GB for $65 in advance), but you need a Jetpack in your account to initialize the SIM card.

Pros
  • Powerful 4G router with 6 external antennas, 2 4G antennas with the widest WiFi coverage on the market. No signal indoors, don't be afraid to extend the 4G antenna outside Stronger signal, more stable internet speed
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
