This is a very strong stand that won't collapse under the weight of a large iPad (I have a Pro 12.9) or a smaller MacBook Air. I expect it will be stable even under a heavier laptop. It's easy to adjust and position, especially the ability to increase or decrease the height so multiple users can benefit. The laptop bag does not become too heavy even though it is made of 100% metal. So if you carry them around at the airport or other means of transport, you won't get cold at security.
