I have an AM/FM receiver with a disc player and I can connect this receiver to my TV using audio/video cables. This severely damaged my Am radio. I bought this and hooked it up to my radio and it helped a lot, almost all static was gone. It still connects to my TV and I don't have to buy a separate speaker for it. I just press AUX and play the TV sound through the receiver. You have to find the right angle and then turn the knob on the antenna and use the hook, otherwise it won't work. Now I can listen to talk and sports radio. Excellent purchase.
