Just got around to installing these backup lights to replace the factory blade style incandescent bulbs. Not exactly an accurate comparison as the bulbs in my car are almost 6 years old and have diminished in brightness, but I suspect the new bulb will burn them out. They are quite white as opposed to the warm light found in a traditional lamp and I think this helps with the perception of the brightness of the light, although it is actually a representation of where the temperature of the light is on the surface Kelvin scale, and they have no noticeable bluish cast (and are marketed as xenon white) appear to be right around 5000K, which is usually listed as "bright white", falling between 4100K "cool white" . " and 6500K "Daylight". Since 5000K "bright white" is classified for use in hospitals and places that require very bright lighting for maximum clarity, for example, these LEDs are @ 1550 Lumens (THAT is a measure of the brightness of a light) is spot on. What I do know for sure is that these headlights put out MUCH more light behind my car when I'm reversing and who doesn't need to see where they're going, if i reverse? yes so i am very happy with this purchase now only one question left to give away on longevity is how long will they last.
