Review on Sangean PR-D18GR AM/FM/Portable Digital Radio With Protective Bumper (White/Gray) by Lonnie Batch

I bought this for my 85 year old mother who loves noises around the house. At first we both loved the radio. Mom isn't very techy, but I programmed the presets and she was happy with them. But recently mother discovered that the radio just stopped playing and displayed a capital "E" on an amber screen. The only way to get it playing again is to remove and swap out the batteries. And then it stops again after a few minutes. I couldn't find anything in the manual that explains this. Not to mention what the letter "E" stands for. I've also tried contacting Sangean's customer service via phone and email but gotten nowhere.
