My daughter got these for Christmas along with a bunch of baking supplies. They are about the size of mini muffins and fit into a mini muffin pan. We haven't used them for cupcakes yet, but I imagine you'll need a mini cupcake pan to put them in while baking. I don't think they hold their shape well if you place them in a shallow baking dish. My daughter decided to make a chocolate rose out of this to decorate her homemade chocolate mousse. For this purpose they have worked very well. She filled them 1/4 inch with melted chocolate and then put them in the fridge to harden. After the chocolate had set, this mold came off easily leaving a beautiful chocolate rose with nice detail. They're a lot thinner than other silicone muffin tins I've used, so they're probably easier to tear apart. We haven't had this problem yet. Definitely a cute addition to the baking cupboard.
