My husband recently used this to work with his computer's hard drive. He said the numerous pins provide good support for the computer's fragile parts. I could use that for a lot of other things too. My kids think about breakage all the time, everything from toys to jewelry, and I can see how fixing all the kings of things works great. The clamps have adjustable telescopic flex arms and are magnetically attached to the base for easy movement. When not in use it looks great on my bookshelf in my office, it's a good talking point!
