I used a small flathead screwdriver and then used my non-metal hand to dislodge the cup from the sphere to pry the glass off. you can break it Place the new ones over the ball with the metal clip and pull to make sure they are in place. The jacks have enough strength to raise a door or window from a very low position and my son can operate it again.
