Due to the low price, I assumed that it would be cheap Chinese junk. I was pleasantly surprised at how good they really are! Very strong and the supper is easy to set up. They lift both the glass and the heavy tailgate of my 2003 GMC Yukon XL with no problem.

Installed just one day and used a few times. But so far so good. It's easy to install all 4 in about 5 minutes, they have more resistance than the old originals. If they last a long time, I can only recommend them! Good price!

CAUTION.VERY DANGEROUS. So I received this product in July 2020 and was able to install it without any problems. The pressure in the hydraulics was very strong. Opening the elevator door became very dangerous because it swung open and I had to hold on until the door was fully open. Fast forward two months later and one of the tailgate pillars came loose and damaged my tailgate.

These were replacement doors and windows for a 2003 Yukon. Summer rates, the old ones worked so-so, but the first cold snaps were useless. A quick search and they came. Fast delivery and only took a couple (less than 5 minutes total) and all 4 were replaced. A single clamp on each end with a small flat head screwdriver dislodged the old shocks and the new ones snapped into place. (Of course you'll need something to support the tailgate [or an assistant to hold the tailgate] if you swap it out).

I have an old worn out commuter car that we use for road trips and family trips. Old pneumatics sagged or just failed and hit in the back (door) or head (glass).
