At first everything was perfect. He circled the cage just right and the rubber band tightened under the cage, catching all the food that was scattered by the birds. Excellent! But after a week or two, the rubber band that was supposed to go under the cage lost all its elasticity and the birdseed was back on the floor. I think the solution should be to pin the elastic under the plaid to make it shorter unless someone else has suggestions.
