Although it can be assembled, be prepared to glue many pieces along the way. I've collected countless similar items and this was the least durable thing I've ever played around with. To make this item inexpensive, they used not only the thinnest wood, but also the cheapest. It broke and splintered along the way. As a result, I received the finished product. I just hope nobody ever picks it up. I don't mind a cheap product as I don't have anything to do with these things when I'm done anyway. I am against the project disappointing, not pleasant.
