I am very disappointed in the schematic and instructions. My backlight wiring harness has red, black, white, and blue wires depending on which part of the loom you are looking at. The diagram says nothing about the blue wire. Although the schematic is black to black, red to red and no mention of a blue wire to a switch etc. The fine print on the internet says that odd colored wires are connected together. When connected according to the scheme, the switch LED is constantly lit, which constantly leads to battery discharge. The circuit language is obviously translated literally, so the English is terrible.
