I've been into watercolor painting for a long time and recently wanted to return to drawing using this technique. I bought some good quality watercolors but was frustrated with the "medium" brushes I bought at my local art store. to keep. After trying to use them I found that they didn't hold the water properly, they lost their point and felt soft when painting. I wasn't sure if it would be advisable to buy "synthetic squirrel" brushes or what the quality would be like. I saw another buyer's video of these brushes and it was fantastic so I decided to try this set of 6 brushes. These are high quality brushes and I am so glad I bought them. Synthetic fibers are just amazing. The black lacquered handles are heavy and balanced. The tip is pressed firmly against the handle. The brush fibers are generous and the curves hit the perfect point. The brush's belly holds a large amount of paint and the bristles are both silky and springy. (The "Cat Tongue" brush is great - it's great for both flat fills and detailing with that tiny "tongue". These brushes would be a great deal at double the price! So glad I bought them!
