Bought to use on our 10 day trip as we have a small SUV and need more space in the car. We also bought crossbars and a basket to put them down. We had some rain on the first day but we were sure it would keep our stuff dry, the first mistake. We had a bit more rain the next day and still assumed that our things would stay dry. When we took things out of the bag, my husband's Carhart coat was soaked and dripping, the bag was full of water, and luckily our suitcases weren't fabric. We also had a canvas bag with some wet papers. I do not recommend this to anyone unless you are riding in a dry area where there is no chance of rain/snow. Lesson learned.
