I am writing this review based on my own experience. I bought this product over a year ago to support my (then) new Bose CD player. I recently started hearing strange noises on my CD. So I took the Maxell CD-340 lens cleaner. After several attempts to clean the lens I gave up and the strange noises continued. Thank goodness I didn't throw away my old Maxell CD Lens Cleaner, the Maxell CD Lens Cleaner CD-345. After just one try, the strange noise disappeared.
