I'm a geek and I have to admit it took me a while to figure out how to charge this device (it's a "new geek” while I'm an "old geek”!), but this thing is awesome! I bought it to use on my new laptop to naturally light up the keyboard. I tried attaching it to the top of my display and it worked fine except when it popped out and startled my two dogs! The light was fading, so I had to figure out how to charge it, which wasn't obvious (at least to me!). Turns out there's a flexible "leg" in the middle of the device that has a VERY simple USB connector that you can plug into a regular USB outlet once you figure out which side" raised". I figured out how to do this and my laptop has a USB socket. Popped it in there and was able to position it PERFECTLY with the very flexible legs to light up my keyboard. So I can just leave it on to use it - the battery never runs out and I don't have to worry about "pissing" my dogs anymore! Seriously, this thing should cost A LOT more! TO BUY! And NO, I have absolutely nothing to do with either the manufacturer or the seller, nor do I receive a "gift" for this review.
