This device uses a VERY old Bluetooth standard, 2.1+EDR (2007). No matter how close or far you are from the source, audio playback starts to break up when connected to your device via Bluetooth. It's annoying enough that you'll wonder why you paid so much for this conference microphone/speaker. I can't comment on the quality of the mic, but I had echo issues when using Microsoft Teams (not Zoom, but the clipping issue is still there). Bottom line, Yamaha really needs to update this device because the Bluetooth version is so archaic it just sounds like crap. When connected via USB, it sounds great, except that the bass isn't enough. Sounds like any other microphone/speaker I have connected to my computer. In my opinion it is not worth the price. I'm looking for the best microphone/speaker for conferences.
