Review on πŸ”§ Kreg Precision Router Table Insert Plate with Level-Loc Rings - Predrilled for Bosch & Porter Cable Routers (PRS4036) by John Langdon

Great record! for templates

I installed the router table extension on my table saw but didn't have a mounting plate. I didn't want to build either. This disc solved that problem quite well. A quick recap of how I set it up: place the plate on the table (there are no holes on the table at this point) and center/square the plate where I want it. Make a full outline around the perimeter with a pencil. Take out the router and place the base plate on this plate, then adjust the depth of cut so that it just touches the table surface (in other words, the straight router bit extends exactly the thickness of this plate). Then slide the slab aside and hand draw the entire outline of the slab as well as the inside of the area to the specified depth. Once that was done I used a 6" hole saw to drill a large hole in the center of the area to attach the router. I haven't routed anything to it yet due to laziness, but after getting familiar with the inserts and insert setting tool I can see this will work pretty well.
