Review on Netbotz Rack Sensor Pod 150 by Kevin Taharka

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well, web interface could be better

Block plus sensors plus additional blocks add up to $ due to port restrictions. But it works, it's pretty easy to install and set up, and it supports many sensors in one device. There was one bad sensor out of 20 that was causing false alarms, always in the middle of the night of course, but other than that it did its job. Basic sensor readings, logs and histograms (limited) are available in the web interface. Sensor naming conventions are obnoxious and contradictory between alarm notification, logging and sensor display on the web interface. The registration report is available, but the formatting stinks. We use it for multiple temperature/humidity monitors, dry contact monitor (HVAC problem), humidity sensor, with text and email notifications, alarm signal and web log output. In general, a decent utility with poor cosmetics.

Pros
  • Household sensors and alarms
Cons
  • There are cons
