Review on IBD UV Clear Builder Gel 2 oz: Long-lasting and High-Quality Nail Enhancement Solution by Tracy Thrash

I had to write a review because this hard gel is amazing! For people who did not give these five stars, it is important to know how to use this product properly to get the best result. I use this as overlays and nail extensions and it stays great until I change the color of my gel nails which is usually every two weeks. Steps: 1. I prepare my natural nail without filing too much. I just take the shine off and wipe it off with an alcohol wipe.2. I apply the nail tip with nail glue to my natural nail to length. (Sometimes I also use a nail form without having to use a nail tip for length, but that takes some skill and you might not want to take the time to master it.) with my natural fingernail and brush off the dust.4. Then I apply the base coat and cure it. I apply IBD Solid Gel in two thin layers, being careful not to get it on the cuticles. Between coats I dry for 120 minutes in a 160w UV/LED lamp. For hard gel, high voltage lamp is mandatory.6. Then I file, shape and level the surface. I make sure the gel is applied thinly to the cuticle so it sits flush with my natural nail. If you don't file it thin, dirt and oil will get under the nail, leading to nail fungus and nail peeling.7. I wipe the top of the nail with rubbing alcohol when I'm done to remove the sticky layer.8. I apply another coat of base coat, 2 coats of gel polish and 1 top coat between each application. Follow the curing time instructions for your chosen gel polish.9. Every two weeks I take off my gel polish and apply UBD Builder Gel to the small area between my cuticles and where my nail grows to "fill" myself in.10. After that I repeat steps 4-8. Thanks to this method my nails don't chip or break and I do a lot of typing for work. Hope this helps someone.
