The device was 3/4 charged so I was able to use it right away. My wife uses lots of candles and oddly lit toothpicks from the oven to light the candle wick. had to put an end to this lol. This is the perfect lighter as it is flexible and rechargeable so we don't have to worry about fuel. It seems to be working very well. I'm not sure if this is how it's supposed to work, but it seems the power down timeout expires after a minute. Maybe to prevent accidental activation? Because there is a power button and a cigarette lighter button. So if you have an issue where the button doesn't work, just toggle the switch off and on again.
