Get longer handlebar bolts

The bolts provided are too short. They thread into the aluminum without an insert and you only get two turns to snap into place as they are short. Of course, you have to tighten them very tightly so that the rods do not move, which inevitably leads to the detachment of the threads. Fortunately, the threads are deep, so a longer screw solves the problem. I used four M6x20 socket head screws. I recommend galvanizing. I also recommend using thin rubber (e.g. 0.5mm to 1mm) between the handlebar and aerobar clamps. They're available at your local bike shop, or you can make strips out of old inner tubes. The tape seemed to work until I ran it in 95 F and the glue melted. Thin rubber between clamping surfaces, very long screws, very tight, work great. All in all, when installed correctly, they're great. I can finally do long rides without my wrists killing me. They look good and are very light. Easy to adjust the angle up and down. I haven't had to adjust the pads yet, but initially it was easy to adjust their position.
