Very Good Aero Bar: Bar

Really good aero bar for the price. I was surprised how comfortable it is. Good value for money. Not keen on the rubber pads, my older one had thick velcro straps but overall not too bad. Since it's two pieces, finding the perfect line is a bit difficult. Made several attempts. I recommend putting a hex wrench in the hole in the shoe and in the head of the bolt when you insert it so the head of the bolt stays open. You will understand what I am talking about when you do this.

Not adjustable

I'm 1.80m tall and have fairly long forearms, but not exclusively. I find the handlebars a bit short and its length is not adjustable. The armrests are very comfortable and appear to be fully adjustable. Installation is very easy, just use a TORQUE WRENCH! You don't want to damage your handlebars by over tightening or have them slip off during a race or ride if you were too loose Follow the Torque recommendations for your specific steering wheel.

Robust, comfortable and durable! Aerobars for everyone!

These are my second set of aero bars. My first kit was difficult to install, moved a lot, was uncomfortable, and was a lot cheaper. I saw the positive reviews and the price and decided to give it a try. I'm so happy I did! I was hesitant at first as they are a lot more expensive than some of the lower quality aero bars but don't worry. After installation, they didn't move at all. After properly fitting the armrests to my body, they were amazing! If you're struggling to find the right aero barsโ€ฆ

Broke on the first ride and almost fell!

Plastic bar clip broke on my first descent. Almost caused a serious accident. It looks like the plastic handlebar size adjuster came loose or cracked and then fell off making the aero bars extremely unstable. seems to require extra felt or double-sided tape for installation (at least if you have narrow grips like my Specialized Sirrus). I have contacted the seller and they have just referred me to Revain as they have the item in stock. It is difficult to contact Revain from my order detail page

Pros
  • High test results for grip and durability
Cons
  • Empty

Good performing bar, steerer and stem

I've ridden about 150 miles on a road bike most of the time with this bar. So far they've held up well, installation was easy and after some adjustments and trial runs I've found my favorite angle and position. They are fairly light and appear to be fairly durable and of decent quality, they never moved or rumbled while riding. They are great in the wind and help greatly reduce drag. I wish the pads were a better quality, they look and feel cheap and I wonder if they stay that comfortable onโ€ฆ

Great product for the price.

I was looking for aerobars for my Trek Emonda SL6 for long flat rides but wanted something decent quality. So far I've been very impressed with the product and feel comfortable on the pads during my long periods (20 miles straight) rides. Fine tuning is easy with a few turns of an Allen key. Although it's not carbon fiber, I didn't notice any change in pace from my usual handlebar position. The only advice is the same as the other reviewer regarding the pad setting - make sure to dial in yourโ€ฆ

Get longer handlebar bolts

The bolts provided are too short. They thread into the aluminum without an insert and you only get two turns to snap into place as they are short. Of course, you have to tighten them very tightly so that the rods do not move, which inevitably leads to the detachment of the threads. Fortunately, the threads are deep, so a longer screw solves the problem. I used four M6x20 socket head screws. I recommend galvanizing. I also recommend using thin rubber (e.g. 0.5mm to 1mm) between the handlebar and
