I was not sure of the quality or effectiveness of this product until I installed and tried it on. Firstly, this device will never accidentally switch between two positions; However, when you're ready to make the switch, you can do so easily and spontaneously. I'm really blown away by how easily I can move between two positions without tensing up, swaying, etc. Second, it serves its purpose well. As I set up my road bike for my first 70.3 triathlon, this seatpost keeps my body in a comfortable, aerodynamic position. When I get off the bike my legs feel less tired and it's easier for me to start running. Now I'm more optimistic about my first 70.3. Redshift is a great option for people who are either on a budget or don't want a separate road bike and tricycle.
