I have two Athlon scopes, Midas Tac and Ares BTR, which have worked fine at long range. Their capabilities are on par with scopes twice the price, and in my opinion you have to spend three times more to get noticeably better optics. The view is only there to keep things interesting in the woods. My Swarovski 8x32 are great but too big and heavy unless I'm looking for more open space when I need a lot of glass. After first trying two sets of Steiner processors, which was definitely a bad choice, I decided to try the Athlon product again. I was absolutely blown away by Steiners as well as some other popular brands I checked out locally in Cabelas. I think they fit easily into the "you need to invest 3 times to get noticeably better" category that I've seen the Athlon fall into. . Also very clear around the edges, I really like the rotating eyecups, very small and compact, decent strap, handy carrying case. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend them if your needs reflect what I bought them for.
