Although they are solidly built, only the tweezers work properly. Scissors are dull and cut poorly, or not at all (and simply bend the blade or stem), or make a very rough cut. The Algae Spatula/Scraper is a terrible scraper. It has no edge and only leaves small streaks on the glass when used as a scraper which is the main reason I bought this product. I do not recommend buying it. All in all it's not a good deal and the set isn't very useful.
