Hagibis USB-C Hub with Hard Drive Enclosure is an all-in-one hub device for laptop, desktop, android mobile phone and tablets. The case has an aluminum shell that wraps around a plastic 2.5-inch hard drive or SSD case liner, and a SATA drive circuit bay. The hard drive enclosure plastic cover slides and helps protect the hard drive or SSD when it is closed. Included are three pads of soft rubber with self-adhesive backing of different widths that are attached to the inside of the case to prevent different sized media from hanging around inside the case. The USB hub ports allow you to connect two USB 3.0 ports and two USB ports. 2.0 to a hub, all powered and connected to a computer via a USB-C upstream cable. The USB-A/USB-C dual port cable allows you to connect the Hagibis USB-C hub to any computer and most Android mobile phones and tablets. I decided to use a repurposed 2013 2.5" laptop hard drive to test the center. It fits perfectly into the case and was quickly recognized by my desktop as soon as the case/hub was connected with a USB-C cable. Windows Disk Manager helped me remove old Windows partition and format the new partition. I then added my Android phone, USB-A flash drive and micro SD card to the hub. They were all recognized as storage devices by my desktop computer and given drive letters. Using Windows Explorer, I was able to transfer computer files between my computer and all three devices connected to the hub, as well as a freshly formatted portable hard drive. The case/hub temperature was about 5°F above room temperature after I tested the hard drive. I don't know if this applies to all USB hubs, but the hard drive I tested this enclosure/hub with was my desktop PC and my laptop only recognizes it as a storage device when it's normally plugged into the USB 3. X connectors have blue internals, not USB 2.0 which has white or black internal connectors. Hagibi's USB-C Hub with Hard Drive Enclosure is truly an all-in-one USB hub for anyone who needs a 2.5-inch hard drive enclosure. It fills that need exactly and also adds the functionality of a USB hub. All of this in a device that's only slightly longer than a standard 2.5" portable hard drive.
