If you want to use it like I did and as listed, you can keep the tarantula inside. Good luck keeping ANY humidity inside. Everything will evaporate almost immediately. I used tape that slightly covers exactly 3 rows of holes. A popular competitor as there are 80 vents in the lid. Here are 936. I just counted them. If you have a species that likes drought, say Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens, this might work. For any species that needs at least a little moisture, look elsewhere. I should have studied the photo more closely, I admit it. I do not rate the product due to its own shortcomings. THEN WHAT. According to the description, it is suitable for tarantulas. In 99% of the cases this is absolutely not true.
